  • IP address and browser type

Information From Public Records

We operate in the commercial trucking compliance industry. To assist carriers and identify businesses that may benefit from our services, we may collect publicly available information from sources such as the FMCSA SAFER system, state motor carrier databases, and other federal and state regulatory filings. This includes USDOT registration data, operating authority status, fleet size, and contact information associated with carrier registrations. This data is publicly available and lawfully obtained from government sources.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and fulfill services — process your orders, deliver compliance filings, and manage your account
  • Communicate about your service — send order confirmations, status updates, renewal reminders, and compliance notices directly related to services you have purchased or requested
  • Send marketing communications — with your consent, send newsletters, compliance alerts, regulatory updates, promotional offers, and information about new services we offer (see Section 4 for full details on consent and opt-out)
  • Improve our website and services — analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop new features
  • Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from government authorities, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect the rights and safety of USCS and its customers
  • Prevent fraud — detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and unauthorized access

3. Legal Basis for Processing (for users in applicable jurisdictions)

Where required by applicable law, we process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance — to fulfill orders and deliver the services you have purchased
  • Legitimate interests — to communicate about compliance matters relevant to your business, improve our services, and maintain business records
  • Consent — for marketing emails and newsletters, where consent is required
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws

4. Email Communications and Marketing Consent

What We Send

We send two categories of email:

Transactional emails — order confirmations, payment receipts, service status updates, filing confirmations, and renewal notices. These are sent as part of our service delivery and do not require separate marketing consent.

Marketing and newsletter emails — compliance industry news, regulatory updates, new service announcements, promotional offers, and educational content about DOT/FMCSA requirements.

How We Obtain Consent

By placing an order, submitting an inquiry form, requesting a free consultation, or otherwise providing your email address to US Compliance Services, you acknowledge and agree that we may contact you regarding your order, your compliance obligations, and related services and resources we offer.

When you provide your contact information through any of our web forms, checkout pages, or direct communications with our team, you are opting in to receive marketing communications from US Compliance Services, including our newsletter, compliance alerts, and promotional content. This consent is noted at the point of collection.

Contacts sourced from publicly available FMCSA carrier records will receive outreach related to compliance services they may require under federal regulations. All such communications include a clear and prominent unsubscribe link.

Your Right to Opt Out

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by:

  • Clicking the Unsubscribe link included in every marketing email we send
  • Emailing us at info@uscomplianceservices.org with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line
  • Calling us at 877-352-1996

We will process your opt-out request promptly. Please note that opting out of marketing emails will not affect transactional communications related to active services you have purchased.
