1. The name of the company.
2. The location of the company doing registration.
3. Registration information about operating procedures.
4. The number of vehicles in the fleet.
5. The number of drivers in the fleet.
6. Some other FMCSA biennial update registration information.

Absolutely. Outdated VMT notifications are the equivalent of a cease and desist notice in the trucking industry. The sides of all trucks and registered motor carriers must display an assigned DOT (Department of Transportation) number. Each motor carrier or Intermodal Equipment Provider must file the appropriate form at the following times:
- Before it begins operations (DOT Application)
- Every 2 years according to the following schedule

DETERMINING YOUR FILING YEAR
Don't wait for an outdated VMT. To determine a carrier's biennial update filing year, reference the second to last digit in their USDOT Number:
- If that number is odd, the Carrier or IEP shall file the update before the last day of their scheduled month on every odd year (2021, 2023, 2025, etc.)
- If that number is even, the Carrier or IEP shall file the update before the last day of their scheduled month on every even year (2022, 2024, 2026, etc.)
